Incorporating Mission Planner

I am thinking of getting a Cheerson CX-20 quadcopter. I also want to use Mission Planner software on my tablet to set flight plans for the drone. What do I have to do to the flier and the tablet to get them to communicate with each other?

Best answer: This post and some of the posts linked there appear to be close to what you are trying to do. I'm relatively experienced in DIY drones, but hacking proprietary flight controllers is a whole extra level of complication.
