Ongoing Sony Boycott question

Does anyone know if the Region 1 version of the Stargate Atlantis DVD box set is distributed by, or in any way connected to, Sony?

Here in Australia it's distributed by Sony and I don't want to give them any money ever again. (Please don't try and talk me out of my boycott.) But the Amazon page for the Region 1 release doesn't have any mention of Sony on it, so I was hoping I could still get the set while continuing my boycott.

Best answer: NBC owns SciFi channel. MGM owns the Stargate franchise *but* Sony owns MGM. Enjoy the show.

Sony was in the groups that invented both the CD and DVD. Everytime you buy one, blank or recorded, they get a royalty. Good luck with your boycott!

BMG do not own Sony. Sony BMG is 50-50 owned by Sony and Bertelsmann, which is German.

Perhaps this is a good time to suggest some simple bit torrent solutions? TV Torrents.com or mininova.org are always fantastic for tv shows.

Isohunt is the most complete search engine I've found, but evade its horrible advertising.
