Park City, Utah in the summer

I will be visiting Park City, Utah July 9th-July 16th. What are the best things to do here in the summertime? Best bars, restaurants and activities! I am willing to travel around as we will also have a rental car and will be flying into/out of Salt Lake City. I have never been to this area of the country before and live on the east coast in Virginia. Looking to try all the things!

Go down the bobsled at the aforementioned olympic park. The tubing also looked hella fun.

OMG. I live around there. Meetup!!!??

Seriously though, you'll have a ton to do. Every Sunday is the Park Silly Sunday Market, which is so much fun. There is also the High West Distillery up there, a great whiskey distillery that does tours Wed-Sun. If you come south through Provo Canyon there are a lot of beautiful waterfalls and great hikes all along the way. Sundance is really fun to explore (zipline??!) and it's worth it to get a drink at Owl Bar while you're up there. The bar there is actually the original Rosewood Bar that was once frequented by Butch Cassidy’s Hole in the Wall Gang in Wyoming.

Salt Lake is a great city to explore, especially in the Avenues, Sugarhouse, and some of the older areas. Memail me and I can give you a lot of recommendations if you want for the best food and drinking to be had.

I like The Eating Establishment on Main, for breakfast. Good prices and food. Driving over the pass above town is lovely and gives you a feel of the alpine camping regular Utahans enjoy. You can drive over to Brighton and then down Big Cottonwood Canyon and into the Salt Lake Valley. Liberty Park downtown is a nice place to see or run. Then go back up. Dinner at Squatters Brew Pub in Salt Lake, good food and a cross section of the townies. Park City has great galleries and imbibing spots. It is cooler up there.

Take a little bit of a drive to Oakley - it's not that far and it's some pretty country out there - and get a bite to eat at the Road Island Diner. It's an old and gorgeous diner car. That entire region is just drop dead gorgeous out there.

Best answer: Highwest Distillery is great. The mountain biking in PC is world class. You can ride the lift to the top of the mountain at Deer Valley and bike down. The Olympic Park is awesome and has all kinds of zip lines, climbing walls, and the water ramps. You can learn how to ski jump into the pool or just watch the aerialist show. El Chubasco has great mexican food and a killer salsa bar. Drive over Guardsman's Pass to Brighton and check out Silver Lake. Go for a hike around Brighton. Play golf at Wasatch State Park. Do the ziplines at Sundance. They are insane. Rent tubes and float the Weber River.
