Please help me find my Childhood?

A long, long time ago, probably (maybe?) at a Scholastic Book sale, I bought a book. This would have been in the mid-to-late-80s? See inside for clues.

It was a book of poetry, riddles, and other fun things.

Clue the First:
1. I believe the cover was purple, but with a picture of something made with noodles?
2. The title may have had "Noodles" in it.
3. The only two things I recall from INSIDE the book were:

the riddle about getting a fox, chicken and grain across the river.

The "One Bright Day in the Middle of the Night" poem.

I would love to find a copy of it! Sound familiar?

This sounds like something by Alvin Schwartz. Maybe "I Saw You in the Bathtub" or "Flapdoodle" or "Tomfoolery"?
