OSX on-demand antivirus/malware?

I don't do a lot of random downloading, and surf with NoScript, so I'm not too concerned about an always-on solution. I'd like to be able to scan odd bits and pieces, though. I used to use ClamXAV. That's gone to a paid product, which I'm 100% okay with paying for if it's still the best option. What else should I be looking at?

Sounds like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware would be handy!

Sophos offers a decent free anti-virus product for OSX. It comes with an on-access scanner that you can disable if you'd like.

Between that and Malwarebytes (previously AdwareMedic) you should do OK.
