Elegant hanging spoon snapped. How do I find a new one?

A spoon was broken and there was much sadness. An old stainless steel serving spoon that hangs very elegantly on a pot rim finally snapped. It had been hanging on literally and figuratively for some time but now it is no more. I cannot manage to find a similar one to replace it.

It is just normal large serving spoon but at the bottom of the handle where it connects to the bowl of the spoon there is a little tab. The tab hooks to the edge of a pot perfectly with the spoon handle sticking up and the rest of the spoon in the pot.

Here is a picture:

You sort have to look really close to see the tab. The only marking on the spoon is "Stainless Steel Japan". I've been on Google image search trying to figure out what this is called but it was a failure.

I've found something similar in thrift stores, but haven't found anything in retail stores. I might suggest looking on eBay, but most people might not know what the tab is for and may not list it correctly.

Any professional kitchen supply store should have these.

Found this Buffet Serving Spoon at a restaurant supply company. May or may not have the tab (you might want to do a close up picture of that.)

You could opt for something different that will perform the function for you.

A particular suggestion for you.

Here's a set of utensils that have a slightly different shape (bend vs tab) that could work.

Best answer: It's just stainless steel, it welds beautifully, take it to your local machinest/job shop and have them weld it up.

Best answer: That style of spoon is called a "no drip". I've looked through both home and commercial kitchen supply sites, but the current trend seems to be the bend style that quince posted instead of a tab. If you have a Cash & Carry near you, or any other restaurant supply place, you might stop in and see if they have a spoon like you want, if you can't find a welder nearby as Confess, Fletch suggests.
