Police Stops and/or Violent Interactions initiated by Burnt out Bulbs

Is there any research, discussions or statistics that link burnt out car bulbs to police stops, and then to either police shootings or anything related violent interactions between arrestees and police?

Best answer: Yes. This article by Jamelle Bouie is a good start and points to further resources. Basically, cops us picky stuff like that as a pretext to pull over minorities, and that often leads to more violent interactions.
