Help me plan the perfect date in NYC this Sunday

My amazing boyfriend is going to be out of town for work next week, and is bummed that we are going to be apart for that long. I want to plan a really awesome day for us on Sunday so we can have as much fun as possible before he leaves.

More info about our interests:
- He loves any kind of history (we did Governor's Island a few weeks ago and it was amazing)
- We both love food and trying new cool restaurants
- I'm super pale and can't spend a lot of time in the sun
- Any price range is fine

We've been to The Ribbon a few times since they opened and the food is outrageous. 72nd near CPW. Make a reservation.

Will you be together late at night? The Empire State Building is open until 2am, and if you go really late at night, you're the only ones up there, and that sounds kind of amazing.

I did this last month! Your amazing boyfriend may or may not like the same things are my amazing boyfriend, but we had a blast:

-started in washington heights, bought fixings for a picnic. Walked to fort tryon park, caught a free symphonic performance in the park, then toured the cloisters.
-went downtown, did a little shopping and people watching, then
-took the (free!) ikea water taxi to red hook. this was the highlight of the day by far.
-wandered around red hook and got a couple drinks at the ancient and adorable bar right near the ferry dock.
-had dinner at pardes, the best kosher restaurant in the city, and certainly one of the best overall.

enjoy!! it was such a lovely day.

My husband and I visited NYC a couple of weeks ago and did a Watson Adventures scavenger hunt in Central Park. It was loads of fun and I would highly recommend it! I've just had a look and this Sunday they have a "Munch around the Village" hunt at 1pm which sounds great for people who love food. Feel free to MeMail me if you want any more information.

P.S I definitely don't work for them, I just found it online before we went and thought it looked good!

Our most recent (and hugely appreciated) trick for when we have folks visiting us is taking people to the Comedy Cellar. You can make non binding "reservations" for a specific show and then get there like 45 mins before to check in - ends up costing around $40 bucks by the time you pay entry plus two drinks but its a tiny room and even when you only get to see the announced acts its very fun - we saw michael che there a few months back and my wife has seen aziz ansari stop in (the night after our most recent visit john fucking stewart stopped by to do a set).

Im not huge on eating in hotels but two more trendy and relatively new places we have enjoyed recently inclued Marta at the martha washinton hotel on 29th st (great super thin pizzas - get the carbonara - and amazing wood grilled meats/sides in a very scenic setting) and Narcissa which is inside the standard east village. its the standard so design wise its very attractive and i found nearly everything we ordered to be just spot on - its a great summer restaurant because they kill it with veggies. Menu highlights included the charred octopus appetizer and the carrots wellington main (it sounds gimicky but god it was delicious, and im a hard core carnivore).
