Car kill stickers for bike

WWII fighters had little icons / emblems reflecting each enemy "kill". It seems like there should be an equivalent to stick on my bike for each collision with a car that I survive. But I can't work out a good google query. Do such things exist?

Bonus points if the set includes dogs.

Something like this? Accident Tally. It appears you can get it resized as well to fit your bike.

[Also you want to brag about how many dogs you've hit? Dude.]

Response by poster: that's the general idea, but it would be one sticker per incident (i am not that prolific and i don't want to be making a new sticker each time).

also, i don't think it would be very wise to actually hit a dog on a bike. it's more a case of doing battle. generally, if you're aggressive they'll back down (even packs) (the problem is mainly stray dogs that enjoy chasing cars). otherwise people use waterbottle sprays and pumps as batons.

Steve Jackson Games produced a set of kill stickers for their game Car Wars called Car Warriors Kill Stickers. It has a variety of shapes; cars, trucks, motorcycles, pedestrians, and cats, dogs, and bicycles. You can get a pdf copy, but it looks like the original is out of print.

If you own a printer this is easy. Go to one of the office stores and buy decal stock for printing any image you find and like. The decals apply just like the ones you used when making plastic plane and car models as a kid. Piece of cake.

Best answer: Could you make a stencil out of some cardstock or contact paper and then spraypaint one every time you needed an addition?

(Anthony Bourdain has a passage in 'Kitchen Confidential where he and other chefs do this at their station, little knives for cuts / burns. Eventually the cat gets skulls for mice it kills painted above its food bowl too)

I was thinking maybe generic "bandage" (or bandaid (tm)) since you merely 'survive' a hit. :)

Aerostich used to sell exactly what you're looking for but apparently they don't anymore. That's not especially helpful, but maybe you can take comfort that what you're looking for has existed, and if you think you've seen one somewhere, you're not crazy.

Best answer: Football players sometimes put stickers on their helmets to represent sacks and stuff. Examples here.

The one amazon review for these is not promising, but maybe you can find something similar of higher quality elsewhere.

Response by poster: i'm surprised these don't exist. if i don't produce something myself via, say cafepresss (check out projects in a week or two!) i'll either go with a stencil (i was worried about wheels, but then realised i could use a hole punch) or generic skull stickers.

(i don't have a colour printer, and i am not sure how well that would last - i guess maybe bought stickers won't last either. i guess i am edging towards a stencil)

thanks!

Best answer: If you can make a vector outline file, take it to any local sign shop that does cut vinyl. They can cut as many as you want to pay for, at whatever size you want, out of any color vinyl they have. Tell them you want a vinyl that will hold up outdoors.

Ask for them "weeded with transfer tape." That means they'll peel away the parts of the vinyl that aren't your design (weeding), so you end up with them on the backing paper with a big semi-translucent paper carrier sticker (transfer tape) over top.

Cut out the one(s) you want to apply, peel off the backing, leaving the vinyl on the transfer tape. Position it where you want on your bike (carefully — you get one shot (unless you want to do a wet transfer, but that's a pain)), burnish it down with your fingernail or a credit card. Then carefully peel up the transfer tape, leaving the cut vinyl stuck to your bike.

The keyword for these things in the sports world appears to be "award decals" or "award markers." Now that I've had more time to look, seems like this place could be a good choice if you want to create a custom design.

I sort of feel like something designed for sport helmets would be more durable than an "all-purpose" sticker, but I have zero personal experience with such items.
