What can I do with all these leftover Nuun canisters?

I'm training for a marathon, it's summer, and I am going through a lot of Nuun. The tablets come in these little canisters kinda shaped like film canisters but skinnier. What the heck can I do with these puppies that's not throwing them in the trash?

Print out some stickers that say Butts, stick them on the tins, and leave a bunch with the local cigarette seller to give away, or just hand them out to smokers you see on the street.

Do you have friends who do crafts? I love those sorts of containers for craft notions like tapestry needles, stitch holders, etc., so I'd love it if someone gave me a few of these for that kind of thing.

I use them in my car for holding quarters for parking. They also make good pill carrying cases.

Boring answer, but you could recycle them? Nuun has the details.

The tube is #5 plastic. Put it in your recycling bin. You are on your own with the stoppers though.

Know any geocachers? They look like good containers for hiding a cache.

I use them to carry crap with me on bike rides. Usually that's like safety pins and salt tablets and stuff. They're about the right size to carry a serving or two of powdered energy drink. Really anything that'll fit in them that needs to be dry they'd be good for. Might be useful for hiking or camping.

I use the very same container to keep vitamins in my bag. I have also wrapped a length of duct tape around one to bring emergency duct tape on a camping trip.

Duct tape is a really good idea. It's useful in a pinch on bike rides if you blow out a sidewall or get a big puncture.

Boy Scout troop nearby? Ask if they want the containers to make first aid/survival kits. Back in the olden days, we used to sit on our dinosaurs and make first aid kits with film canisters - gauze, band-aids, matches, needle, salt tabs, mole skin, etc. all go inside - but no one has film canisters any more, so I don't know how the kids can do that any more. The Nuun bottles would be about perfect.

Put a different seasoning in each: salt, pepper, curry powder, Italian seasoning, furekake, etc. Put them in your desk at work to be prepared for a day when you are so rushed that all you can bring for lunch is a potato to microwave.
