Can I make this monitor work with my components?

I have this monitor. I use it with my 2012 15" Macbook Pro. I am curious about using it as a TV. I have questions about some of my older components and an adapter I saw on Amazon.

Here is the adapter.

I am wondering if, using this monitor and this adapter, if I could use with it the following:

- A DVD player with the red, white, and yellow cables.
- (Very occasionally), a VCR with the r\red, white, and yellow cables.
- A Wii (not Wii U).
- A network OTA tuner (with the requisite digital adapter).

The only thing I own with HDMI output is my Roku player. How do you think these other things would work? Would I have black bands or other viewing issues?

Thanks, as always for your help.

Best answer: Assuming that your monitor has a stretch-to-fill mode for dealing with sub-4K content, a composite to HDMI adapter like that should suit your purposes nicely. Check the monitor's manual to be sure before you buy, of course.

Response by poster: In case anyone else reads this, the adapter I linked to above worked perfectly for the VHS AND Wii.
