Programming a temporary home alarm system passcode for housecleaner

I have a home alarm system that uses the ADEMCO 6150RF keypad. We'd like to allow our housecleaner to be able to enter and leave our home during the day while we're at work but prefer for her to have a unique passcode for the alarm system rather than give her the master code. I'm having a hard time figuring out if, and how, to program this into the system. Any guidance on this would be greatly helpful, thanks!

The answer to this is going to depend on the brand of your alarm system — the keypad is just an interface and doesn't store the passwords. If you have a Honeywell alarm system, this page tells you how to set up individual user codes separately from the master password.

My ADT system uses a similar keypad. ADT has specific instructions on how to do what you ask on their website. Perhaps your provider does the same. You do need access to the owners web portal to set up assistant access.

Depends. I have co-workers at my other-other job where this is their full time job: People exactly like you call them to have their panels programmed for exactly the scenario you are describing.

In other words, sometimes the end user does this, oftentimes you have to have your monitoring company's support department do it for you.
