Custom PC-Builders in Greater Boston Area

Hi MeFi,
I am looking for someone or a shop that does custom PC builds. I do a lot of multimedia production (video editing, motion media/rendering, audio production, etc) and I would love to give my money to a smaller shop/person versus going through Dell/HP/etc. I will gladly buy all the parts I need, I just need someone with experience to assemble it all.
I heard APC Integrated in Boston is pretty good but they can get pretty booked. Any other spots? Thanks in advance!
This isn't a small shop, but have you considered Micro Center? They do custom builds, and there's one in the area.

Not really answering the question, I guess, but have you considered buying the parts and assembling it yourself? It's a surprisingly straightforward and rewarding process if you're willing to do a little troubleshooting.

Best answer: Is there any reason you don't want to assemble the parts yourself? It's pretty easy. It may take you a couple hours to just figure out what you're doing and do it, but if you're willing to pick out the specs yourself, you might as well just build it yourself. I previously mentioned the tutorial I used to build my own desktop PC here and some other answers in that thread may help you if you're willing to consider it.

Best answer: I'd second building it yourself. There are hundreds of youtube videos out there showing custom builds. The harder part is making the hardware choices. The assembly itself is only slightly more difficult than lego.

Best answer: CTS Computers in Newton has always done right by me with parts, diagnosis and building.
