Questions to ask when spending long hours with someone?

A friend and I travel together frequently. What are some interesting questions we can ask one another while we're hiking for hours on end?

[I'm male and she's female, if it matters.]

Some questions we've already come up with are:

1) When was the last time you cried and why?

2) What is a memory you have from 3rd grade?

3) What are the stories behind all of the scars on your body?

4) What are 3 things we like about one another?

(And yes, we've found The 36 Questions That Lead to Love)

If you were a food, which food would you be?

Which historical person would you like to have dinner with? What would you want to talk about?

If you could be any animal for a day, what animal would you want to be?

If you were the other sex for a day, how would you feel and what would you want to do?

Time to move beyond your lives... bigger questions like:

- What's the one thing you'd change about human nature?
- If you could live in any time period in history, what would it be and why?
- What's the most mind-blowing thing you ever learnt/discovered?
- How would you feel/what would you do if you found out, right now, that everyone else on Earth was gone except us?
- What's your favourite Arnold Schwarzenegger movie? :-)

My friend invented (as far as I'm aware) a game for these situations. Pretending that you are going to be transported back to some pre-historic time, with no ability to ever come back, which four types of professions/experts in what fields would you bring with you and why? This seems to lead to really long, interesting conversations for some reason.
