Where can I find a library of Macros for Excel and what they do?

I've been recently getting interested in various Macros and what they can do in Excel. Is there suppository of various Macros available online as well as clear demonstrations of what they can be used for that I can insert into my spreadsheets.

To start, I would google "Excel Macro REPOSITORY"... suppositories do not get inserted into spreadsheets :-)

Reddit has a good starting point for this kind of quest.

ASAP Utilities is an Excel add-on that provides a whole library of macros that you can easily insert into a spreadsheet. The macros are classified by function (18 categories in the most recent version, plus various tweaking options). Best of all is that ASAP is free for personal use: http://www.asap-utilities.com/

http://chandoo.org/ is an Excel guru who provides lots of cool stuff for newbies like me.

RE: "repository --> suppository", I suspect you are the victim of spellcheck. Thanks for the joke!

For "clear demonstrations of what they can be used for," don't forget to check the PDF guide that comes with ASAP Utilities.

Here's a sample of what ASAP can do from just one category

8. Text macros: variations of upper and lower case, delete a certain number of characters at the beginning or the end, spell out numbers (in English, Dutch and German), reverse text in selected cells, remove excessive spaces ...

This category alone is a real treasure for a language person like myself. I can do all sorts of fancy tricks with word lists.
