Too many hush puppies, (not the shoes, but the starch).

What can I make with a dozen hush puppies?

Due to a fast food order miscommunication tonight, I'm now in possession of approximately 1 dozen golf ball sized hush puppies. I don't want to throw them away and they won't reheat very well tomorrow, what can I make with them?

Use them as the bread in a dressing recipe or in a breakfast casserole. Oh god they would be so good in breakfast casserole.

You have what Marylanders would refer to as "a blessing." They reheat well if you griddle them in a hot pan. Just smash it flat with a metal spatula right into the pan, heat it up, flip once. Serve topped with your other leftovers, or, my favorite toppings for smashcakes are corn and tomato salad and shrimp and chunky cocktail sauce and greens.

Freeze them, and microwave them when you are in the mood. Seal the bag tight. High fat foods reheat well in the microwave, try 30 seconds for one puppy, then see if that is emough.

If you have a toaster oven then you are in possession of a device that will reheat a fried food (like the aforementioned hush puppies) to 90% of original goodness.

Never microwave, always toaster oven.

(or, you know, real oven, if you're into heating up the big thing)
