Intermittently, when I plug in the power cord or detach/reattach the tablet, the system freezes, unfreezes, freezes, etc. I know this is a driver issue because it didn't do that before I updated to Windows 8.1 and when I boot to Linux it doesn't do that either. I have reinstalled the video and audio drivers, I have reinstalled the touchpad drivers, reinstalled Windows. I have turned off power management, turned it on... this problem is vexing. Anyone else have this issue? Which driver is causing this? The only way I know to make it stop is to detach and reseat the tablet several times and then, magically, the problem goes away... until the next time. It's been back to HP twice. Still under MicroCenter warranty but I don't want them touching this thing (horrible experiences with their repair center). Anyone have actual experience with this? I have searched the HP fora to no avail.

Response by poster: Figured it out on my own... still don't know which driver but if I eject the tablet using the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then plug it in or unplug it, the problem goes away.
