Best Karaoke Games?

I'm looking for a great karaoke game. (Not a karaoke machine.)

Just Dance and Dance Central have helped my ten-year-old daughter learn to dance to pop music. I'd like to find a comparable karaoke game. Not just a karaoke machine, where you can sing along, but a performance game where the better you hit the note, the more stars you get. Does such a thing exist?

We have Xbox 360, PS3 and Macintoshes; she's supposed to get a Wii U for Christmas. At some point I will probably also have to splash out for an Xbox One or a PS4. (I work in the game industry!)

I've read tantalizing hints that Just Dance and/or Dance Central allows you to sing along, but I haven't figured out how, or if the games "grade" you on your performance.

Best answer: The SingStar franchise on the playstation is pretty awesome - I believe it's available in america these days, although it's had way more releases in europe

EDIT: also, the ps3 version is free to play now, so you could pretty much try it right now - you can use a phone app as a microphone

Best answer: Also, the rock band franchise does this as well - although it's advertised around guitar, it does have a singing mode. However, I believe you can only have one singer at a time, which is why singstar tends to win in my household.

My family is pretty karaoke happy, and SingStar is about the best option out there. If you've got something that can play PS2 discs, you can pick up a ton of them for a song. Karaoke Revolution is pretty solid, as well, and if you have an XBox or access to the PlayStation store, I think you can download all the tracks. (I can't swear to that, as we mostly just use a PS2.) SingStar is stricter about how you hit the notes, and, I think, does a better job of showing you where you're not quite matching up.

Best answer: Get Rock Band 3 and a microphone. You don't need any of the plastic instruments, you can play it just as the vocalist. Ultimate karaoke video game with thousands of songs available to download.

SingStar is also good.
