Windows Management Replacement

I need to find a windows management replacement for DM2 that is compatible with Win 7 and Win 8/8.1.

I used to use an application called DM2 that would allow you to use virtual desktops, have windows transparency, or select windows to always be on top. DM2 does not work for Win 7/8.

I need your best recommendations (cheaper the better, free is the best) that will have the following features, in order of priority.

1. Always on top
2. Virtual Desktop
3. Transparency

With only number one being truly required. I know there is an autohotkey for always on top, but I am looking for something else for this function.

Second preference, something portable. That would be super.

What does the hive mind suggest?

Dexpot has a lot of those features, I think.

Best answer: Moo0's WindowMenuPlus also does the transparency and keep-on-top thing, and it looks like they also make a desktop manager.

Response by poster: I have no idea how Moo0 did not come up in any of my searches. Quickest answer to one of my questions ever, I love Metafilter.
