Know a retail recruiter in ATL area?

Friend is hoping to move. How can I help him by finding him a good retail management recruiter in ATL area?
A friend of mine who lives in CT wants to follow some friends down to the ATL area. Online job sites don't seem great for retail management positions. He's had a relatively easy time finding other jobs in CT when needed, but he's finding the trans-state transition a bit harder. Has anyone had a successful experience with retail recruiters in the ATL area? Can you point me in the right direction to help him out?

FWIW, Home Depot is head quartered in ATL. (I think it is actually Vinings) Having lived in 3 states in the last 4 years, I'll say this: Unless you are a rockstar, or the only person who knows about something very obscure, it is quite difficult to compete with local candidates. His best bet might be to save up some loot, associate himself with a friends address & phone number, then apply accordingly. He might have to do some couch surfing for a couple weeks, but whatever. Also, while job sites are the great aggregator, there is nothing wrong with hunting firms down and applying directly to them. IMO it shows more initiative.
I love Atlanta; it's a great place to be, no matter what people on metafilter will tell you ;) I hope to get back soon

Better yet, your friend should start scouting the retail companies that are based where they want to move to and just start mailing out resumes.
The upside to going straight to the source is that the company will not have to pay a commission to a recruiter and that could work in your friend's favor.
