She seems cool, but she doesn't even listen to Bauhaus.

What is this quote from (filter)!?!?!? "She seems cool, but she doesn't even listen to Bauhaus." I have tried and tried to find the origin and I have failed miserably. I heard it while listening to 1st Wave on Sirius XM. I'm assuming it's from a movie. There is one person on twitter who used the quote, but she has failed to respond to my plea. Where MeFites? Where?

Why don't you contact the hosts of the 1st Wave show? The show seems to have a fairly active facebook page.

I don't have a specific answer, but i will say that i swear i've heard this sample in dj sets at goth bars/darkwave dj nights. It's definitely from some slightly older piece of pop culture/"underground" movie or tv show and not just some one-off sample.

I realize that may sound like a useless non-answer, but i just wanted to bolster your hope here as at times i've tried to track down this sort of stuff before and gotten nowhere because it was either from some VHS that was impossible to find or actually created by that DJ. This isn't the latter, at least.

Seconding emptythought. I heard it recently somewhere, so you're not crazy - it's a real thing.

I could have sworn that this was said by Flaca on Orange is the New Black, but I can't find any evidence of that in a Google search. It's going to drive me crazy and I may have to rewatch to see if I am right.

I'm watching the first season of OITNB right now and Flaca specifically mentions the Smiths' "How Soon Is Now" in episode 6 ("it's like an '80s anthem!"). Don't know if she also mentions Bauhaus in a later episode, though.

Yeah, now I'm thinking that wasn't it, Scody.

It was from a preview for a movie that was shown before edge of tomorrow started. That's where we heard it I think.

Update, kinda - I've sent a message directly to Richard Blade and to the Sirius XM 1st Wave FB page. So far no answer. Sad face.
