Can anyone recommend a beginner level English language tutorial series for Spanish speakers who cannot read or write in either language?

To be clear, they can't read or write Spanish, either?

There's Muzzy or Let's Go Pocoyo!, but they are very evidently made for small children. An adult audience could feel talked down to.

OTOH, maybe the Vaughan method audiovisual materials? I know there is a TV series and they have a radio station in Spain. I just find that style of rephrasing everything incredibly irritating.

That's correct, empath. And as far as being condescending, sukeban, those children's shows beat the earlier vids we found that focused on housekeeping.

The Pimsleur Method audio series is good, but pricey. Your local library might have it.

Your local library might have it.

And most bittorrent sites (piratebay, etc), if not.
