Book Worldline Site?

What's the name / URL of the site where you could track the worldline of a book? I remember that you could put a sticker in a book with an identifying ID, and the next person to find/buy it would go online and read the book's past history and add a new entry. Ring any bells?
Dang!

I have to relate this story: one day an old friend of ours came to our house with a book. He had bought it either at a garage sale or a used book store far from our house. As it turned out it had an inscription from my wife's father (who had been dead for 10 years).
Through a series of unrelated events the book came back to us.

Sounds like Serendipity.
For Belgian readers, there's also a Bookscrossing-like website, Wilde Boeken (Books in the Wild).
The European equivalent of Where's George is Eurobilltracker.com. None of my bills has been re-entered yet, but it's still a nice way to pass some time when managing my personal finances.
