Tell me what you know about apartment swaps.

My boyfriend and I are looking to go to Paris this fall. Between the two of us, we have two San Francisco apartments to swap out. Have you done this? Please give us all the advices! Airbnb? HomeExchange? Something else?

In my opinion, it would be easiest/most money to just go Airbnb and make it a defacto swap (you actually don't swap any apartment, but you put your place your apartments on Airbnb and you go Airbnb in Paris).

How long? Airbnb is really easy and i've had 40+ renters and nary an issue with anyone, and we've been home the whole time. I've done Airbnb in Paris and the places are cheaper than SF might be.
