I'd like to know what this Versace necklace is and what it's worth but i can't find this specific one anywhere but in this auction. I've seen versions with one and two chains but nowhere is there a 4-chain:

I'm not following this question. If the one you are looking for is in that eBay auction, then it is worth whatever people are paying for it.
No one seems to have bid yet. And the question, I imagine, is "what would be a reasonable price to pay for this necklace?" or "how much do examples of this model typically sell for?" These seem to be entirely sensible questions to ask.

This method may help if no one else can. I had to ring a few businesses in my role as executrix of my (extravagant) mothers estate. Some things she had were beautiful and genuine. Some stuff she had were very good quality fakes that she had bought overseas. I needed to ascertain their genuineness and value as a legal requirement so I asked dealers to verify from photographs and then asked, for the genuine articles, what their original recommended retail price was. Then I made educated eBay informed guesses.
So you could email those photos to Versace and ask them if they're genuine. Or even likely genuine. Hope you find a better answer, but that may help if no one else knows. 20 years ago is a weird limbo of not quite true vintage and not really internet times....luck.

Best answer: The terminology you want is 'four strand', not 'chain', I think.
This is one that sold on ebay for GBP395.

Another term might be "bib necklace." Brief google search yielded a similar necklace worn by Lady Gaga, and this seller sold one - they might be willing to give you a price.
