Revisiting The Airtight Garage

Looking for modern graphic artists or comic book illustrators doing work similar in style/theme to the futuristic work of Jean Giraud aka Moebius.
The unidentified illustration at the top of this page got me to thinking about it. I am particularly interested in space, starships and interstellar-type imagery.

Prophet?
Here's brandon graham's tumblr. He's got a couple art books worth picking up: Walrus and Multiple Warheads.

There's Goran Parlov's Moebius-inspired work in the upcoming Starlight comic. Katsuya Terada also sometimes works in a similar style.

This motherfuckin' guy right here. RIP, John.
By the way, if anyone is an artist, he put me onto this book which was a damned good tip.

For style, Frank Quitely's work looks pretty heavily influenced by Moebius. But Quitely's subject matter is kind of all over the place.

I dunno about "modern", but Jerry Bingham illustrated the Onyx Overlord miniseries back in the '90s, which was set in the Airtight Garage.
And Jodorowsky and Giménez's Metabarons feels kinda Möbius-y to me.

Giannis Milonogiannis does the Moebius-like art in Prophet. The covers are by Simon Roy. AFAIK Brandon Graham only does the writing. The issues where Simon Roy does the art aren't very Moebius-y.

The answer for me was ligne claire, sebastienbailard. And Francois Schuiten is quite a score. I am grateful.
To all who directed to Prophet, I will read it. I see the connection.
(Drexen, I bought it. Thank you.)

I have to say, I am smitten with Giannis Milongiannis' blog. Sounds like a good person as well as being a fantastic comics artist.
