Horror movies from where the only surviving victim is a man?
Two to get started: Paxton from Hostel and David from ATM. I am looking for suggestions of full-length horror (or horror-hybrid) movies where the sole surviving victim is a male character. And I mean "victim" in the sense that this character might have killed some of the bad guys (as Paxton did), or might have accidentally killed innocent people by accident (like David did), but he was not deliberately intending to kill innocent people.
Thank you for taking the time to consider my question.

Response by poster: Yikes!
"or might have accidentally killed innocent people by accident (like David did)" should just be "or might have killed someone by accident (like David did)"

Try the "subversions and variations" section here:

Or google the phrase "final boy" with some extra keywords to narrow it down to specialist horror sites/forums

When I was watching Cabin in the Woods it struck me that the only other cabin-in-the-woods style horror movies I could think of off the top of my head (Evil Dead and Dead Snow) both ended with a single male survivor.

Came in to say The Thing, but got beaten to it. How about Evil Dead II?

There are two people left alive at the end of The Thing.

There's at least one person alive at the end of The Thing. The status of the other one is debatable.

Could the mods reframe the question to remove the spoilers above the fold?

Predator
Doesn't Ana survive too? I remember Arnie sending her to GET TO DA CHOPPAH while he rassles with Mr. Predator.
If you accept more than one final boy, LL Cool J and Thomas Jane both survive at the end of Deep Blue Sea. Also... one of the best deaths ever.

Came in to say the Thomas Jane movie version of Stephen King's THE MIST.
The character of Ben in George Romero's original NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is the sole survivor until the rescue authorities arrive, mistake him for a zombie, and shoot him dead. (Oops.)

Response by poster: Thank you for these answers. It is very helpful to me. Not as movies as I would have guessed...
Also, sorry for putting that information above the fold. I contacted the mods and they made the change.
I'm marking this resolved.
