Is there such a thing as a Mini-CMS?

I have a client who needs to change all of like 2 paragraphs on a big webpage. Wordpress/Drupal et. al. are massive overkill for a project like this. Is there a tiny, reliable CMS that'd allow me to just markup the code for blocks that should be changeable and leave everything else set in stone?

You might look at Perch. Sounds like just what you're after. Great support, too.

Came in to recommend Perch too.

Pulse looks great, and there's also Get Simple, though I haven't used either.

There are also externally hosted services like Cushy CMS which essentially FTP onto your site and change a few specified content areas. I used Cushy once a few years ago, and it worked pretty well. There are some alternatives in this space too. I know of SurrealCMS and PageLime. I think this kind of CMS has fallen out of fashion, but the services still exist.

I've also used Cushy and it was fine.

I've trained fairly non-technical people on WordPress and they seem to get the hang of changing articles all right. You can restrict privileges so they can't wreck the entire site. Just an idea...
