Her Cats Were Named...

A female detective had two cats, which she'd named Onanoff and Offanon. Some variation in the spelling is likely. This was Sci Fi radio program in the 80's. Anybody remember her, or her kitties? Super bonus points for a link to the archives, if it exists. Google won't even discuss it with me.

Best answer: This seems to be Ruby the Galactic Gumshoe (Wikipedia link). Sounds fun.

Cats? I'm not sure about cats. In the first "Ruby" adventure, she encounters the two technowitches, Offanon and Onanoff. ZBS has Ruby for sale.

The first Ruby series was frickin awesome. I remember the second one being pretty good and I don't recall if I've heard the later ones.

Google won't even discuss it we me.

That is the most appropriate, hilarious, humanity-ifying phrase I've read or heard in ages. Should I rechristen two of my cats in honor if your sought-after story?

Response by poster: This is it. Ruby.

Yeah, cats. I dunno. My memory....CRAFT, you know. I thought the were cats, but they were witches. Um....

Anyhow, the series sparkled then, seems like it still does, or would.

Thanks.
