Any recommendations for non-US and non-UK Web Hosting Providers

Does anyone have experience of using non-US and non-UK, shared-hosting, web-hosting providers. I am thinking about re-locating my site away from the US. I am in New Zealand but prices here are quite expensive in comparison to the US at least. I am just looking for a basic, shared-hosting provider for my Wordpress blog. You may be able to guess why I am asking at this time. I am not looking to debate the merits or otherwise of doing this [at least not here!], just looking for experiences of those that have actually used shared-hosting providers outside of the UK and the US.

Best answer: I'm not one of the people in charge of it, but I'm a regular user of BakaBT. It uses a hosting service located in Amsterdam, and it seems to work quite well.

Gandi are a French company I've used for a variety of services, including hosting.

Digital Ocean have servers in Amsterdam, although they are a US company, so that might not tick your boxes.

I've used Gandi for domain registration for some years and think they're great. Not used them for hosting but I'd second them as a good company.

Best answer: Webfaction lets you choose your data center, including Amsterdam. I love working with them. Support is super responsive and they have a one-button WordPress install. They are cheap too.
