Tracking Changes in Google Calendar

I swear I found an answer to this before but I am stumped now. I have a scheduling conflict at work and I use Google Calendar for staff scheduling. Two people have requested vacation on the same day and I need to know who entered the request first.

StackExchange's web applications subsite has an answer to this one. Here are details on their API. This forum post talks about a way to get at that data without doing programming, look for the "date published" flag.

Probably too late for this situation, but going forward, you could have people schedule vacations via invite rather than creating events on a common calendar. It also creates convenient side-effects, like making sure people schedule vacation time X days out.
