Professional Level Joke and Humor Database

Is there a joke wiki or humor wiki database? I'm looking for a professional level no-nonsense jokes database.

Looking for a humor/joke database with depth and breadth. Something with maybe 100,000 or more jokes but I'll take watcha got. (I do know about tvtropes.org)

Sites with brightly-colored splash pages with around 1000 jokes, probably not what I am looking for.

Looking for more along the lines of a professional reference database.

Secondary question. It's rumored that Milton Berle and Bob Hope each had vaulteed archives with each respective collection holding more than five million jokes. Does anyone know if these are archived anywhere now with public access?

Best answer: A researcher at the University of Hertfordshire in the UK compiled such a database in order to research the world's funniest joke. Seems like he's only left an archive of 1,000 jokes up now that the project's over, but if you want this for some academic purpose maybe he'll pony up.
