We're looking for places to honeymoon, probably next year, and possibly 2007.
My fiancee and I are very lackadaisically planning a wedding/honeymoon, sometime in the future, probably next year, and maybe in 2007. I'd say next year is the most likely bet.
We've agreed that we want to go somewhere neither of us has been to before, which precludes much of the US and Western continental Europe. Our first idea was Corsica, and I've just hit upon Buenos Aires / Argentina as another possibility
The full honeymoon will likely be 10 days to 2 weeks, and right now, it looks like we'd go either in April, early July, or October.
How do the two locations compare? Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Belgium! Or Paris. Both have excellent food, and are physically beautiful.

If the US/Canada border isn't out of the question, and you're picking July, you should check out Mackinac Island. It's where the wife and I spent our honeymoon. Definitely stay in a hotel on the island, but you may want to avoid the Grand Hotel unless you like gorgeous and stately accommodations from the late 1800s.

The West coast of Corsica is incredibly beautiful, but I ate bad food all the way through.

Response by poster: Hm. Belgium and Paris are out (she's been there), as is Mackinac Island (I've been there).
Maldives sound fantastic.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Disney cruise. Seriously. You'll never know 1/3 of the boat are kids.

I have to recommend Jamaica, as long as you don't stay at one of the resorts. Stay at a local place and they will cater to your every need. Everyone that I met on the island was completely ready to participate in whatever activity that caught my fancy, and everything was CHEAP. I would move there if I could. E-mail me if you want more details.

Makinac Island is good; strongly recommend it.
On the same note, there is a lot of charm all around Nova Scotia. The wife and I honeymooned there 21 years ago.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Seychelles. Best. Place. Ever. If you want photos email me.
