I ordered a few USB cables and adapters online, in an envelope marked free gift was this.... thing. It's padded, plastic, baffling.

I like to imagine that is a condom case, but that probably isn't it. Does it fit a compact flash card?

It's about the right size for the huge old first-gen SD cards so that might explain it, might also explain it being given away for free.

Yeah, it looks like a holder for an SD card or an SD card adapter. The ones I get are usually plastic, but this looks basically the same.
