It sucks to have an early January Birthday

I'm looking for suggestions for an indoor golf practice net and mat (sturdy enough for real balls) for a January birthday.

I know nothing about golf. This will be for someone to use indoor in the snowy/cold climates. Price isn't as much of a problem since several people will be chipping in for the purchase. Any comments/ideas are much appreciated.

Best answer: One problem you might want to consider is the amount of space this person has in their house for a net like that. If the ceiling is too low, it's not hard to get a club jammed up in there mid-swing. I've put a few holes in my ceiling trying to practice in the winter! All of that aside, I'd say that either this would be a good option for a full size mat and net and this would be good for simply chipping (which might be better space-wise). Callaway usually makes good products and is a good company to work with.
