Are there any good any online lectures on Ulysses?
Hi, I'm starting Ulysses for the first time and I'm trying to find some sort of online lecture series for the novel, ideally the lectures from a college course. Video would be best, but even just audio would be nice. Thanks.

I see a few individual Ulysses lectures on iTunes U but not a full series. Have you considered getting a good annotated copy or companion study book?

Response by poster: I forgot about itunesU, thanks, but yea there don't seem to be any full Ulysses lecture series. I'll probably pick up some sort of companion book, but I thought it would also be nice to sort of read along with a course.

Parenthetical, but supplemental to the question -- I have found this to be an invaluable resource: Ulysses Annotated. It's no so much an actual annotated version of the text as it is an encyclopedia of all the arcane cultural, geographic & literary references.

Not a course, per se, but have a look at Frank Delaney's Re:Joyce.

Not a full course I know, but this In Our Time episode was academic and enjoyable.

I know you said "online", but you might also check your library to see if they have the Teaching Course series on Ulysses.
