How do I block IWon while using Safari?
First, I deleted the IWon cookie. Then I deleted all my cookies. Then I blocked all third party advertisers. IWon still shows up on various websites and it's driving me crazy.

If you can figure out an IP that's involved, you can block it in your firewall. If you can figure out a URL that's involved, you can block it with an entry in /etc/hosts (or whatever Apple calls it).
Unfortunately, Blue T-Shirt's advice is useless to you because Malware Bytes is a Windows program and doesn't run on the Mac. But presumably there are other equivalent tools for OS/X.

Best answer: Have you tried AdBlock?

Response by poster: Thank you, Johnny - just installed it. i kept away from these programs primarily because I was supporting Reddit by not having one. But IWon started appearing more regularly and that was the tipping point. Thanks again all.

OP didn't mention he/she was using a Mac. Safari is available on Windows.
