Inquest Magazine 100 Books and 100 Movies lists

Sometime before the summer of 2000, Inquest Gamer magazine (the collectible card game/role-playing game offshoot of Wizard, originally just called Inquest) ran a pair of articles listing 100 movies you should watch and 100 books you should read in order to improve your DMing ability. I'd like to read those lists again. Does anyone know which issues had them?

I found one of the lists on the internet once (the movie one, I think), but I can't seem to do it again. I'd really like to find the actual magazines (which I don't have any more), and also check whether they ran any follow-ups in the Letters section.

Thanks for your help.

Just in case no one here can find it, try asking These Guys, they have back issues of Inquest Gamer, and looks like they have a pretty robust inventory, maybe it will ring a bell.

Best answer: "Stolen Secrets: 50 Ideas from Fantasy and Sci-Fi Literature Adaptable to Your RPG" - January 1998 Issue 33

October 1998, Issue 42 has an article about the Top 100 movies of all time, although it isn't an article explicitly about applying them to DMing.

And now I'm going to waste the rest of my night reading about old, out of date and defunct games and let the nostalgia pour over me.

Best answer: That's the movie article all right. The book article I was thinking of ran earlier that year (March 1998 issue), and was titled "Judgment Day: 100 Books Thou Shalt Read Before You Die". Here's a version of the list that includes all the books in the various series, up through the date of publication.

I haven't found a link to the movie list online yet, but if I do, I'll post it.

Thanks again Midnight Rambler.

Response by poster: I'm sure #100 made sense in 1998, but boy-oh-boy. ;P
