What workout DVDs will help me get a great butt?
I'm a 29-year-old woman, and I'm very happy with my weight (I weigh 97 pounds and am just shy of 5 feet tall). I do, however, want to look more toned - especially in the butt and thigh region.
Problem is, I've fallen off the exercise wagon recently. My gym closed two months ago, and I haven't been able to find a new one that isn't ridiculously expensive and that has the machines I prefer. I used to do the 30 day shred at home, before I started using the gym, and I really enjoyed it, but I'd like to find a new exercise regimen that really targets my butt.
At the gym, I did squats, leg presses, and used the machines that target glutes and hamstrings. I had a great butt when I was going to the gym twice a week, and I want my booty back! How can I recreate these exercises at home, without the fancy equipment?
I'm hoping to find a good workout DVD that I can use. I've seen the Brazil Butt Lift, but I don't want to spend nearly $80 on a workout dvd unless I know it's amazing. Are there other DVDs in the $10 to $15 range that will give me an awesome ass? I'm willing to buy a few things, like a theraband or ankle weights, if necessary.
I saw this question, but it wasn't really what I was looking for. I want a DVD, because that is a real motivator to me.

Try Buns of Steel. You can't find a video much cheesier, but it's actually kind of fun, in a "low-impact but holy hell that hurts" kind of way. The first time I did it, I could barely climb stairs.

My wife did the Tracy Anderson workouts + Brazillian squats, and I must say the results are rather pleasing to the eye.

Oh man, not gonna lie: Brazilian Booty Lift. My wife did about half of the program and her booty...let's just say it was all good news.

You can email the staff at Collage Video, and they will reply pretty promptly with recommendations.

Kettlebell swings. I'm male and a runner, and I was using that exercise to work on my hammies. It was great for my running endurance, but it also really worked my butt. It was surprising how fast it happened too.

Any of Tamilee Webb's stuff (she of Buns of Steel). She did some great 15-30 minutes workouts, I Want That Body - either of the 2 butt workouts should leave you hurting the next day.

I will, risking mortification, admit that I was the one who asked this question. Brazil Butt Lift was the right answer for me, although I didn't try Buns of Steel.
It's been 10 days and I've lost 2 inches off my waist, 1.5 inches off my hips, and I feel great. (I haven't changed my diet at all, so it's all exercise-related loss.) It's a really fun workout and I can definitely feel it working.
Plus, I passed the Pencil Test today for the first time, so that was an accomplishment, albeit an embarrassing one. I highly recommend this program for anyone who likes a difficult but fun workout.
