Recommend a reminder / alarm app

I'm looking for an iOS (iPod Touch) app that will allow me to set up a whole lot of alarms like this: At 9:00 AM every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, make a noise and pop up a notice that says, "Go to Gym."
I'd like an app that makes it easy to manage a lot of alarms, and I want to be able to create one alarm that will go off multiple (scattered) days of the week (i.e. for the example above, I don't want to enter three separate alarms.)
The less the app does other than the above, the better!
Free is good, but I'm willing to pay a modest amount.
I've been frustrated with events not syncing between Gcal and Calendar when I expect them to, and I'd prefer just to have everything self-contained on my iPod—but if there's a way to do this with Google calendars not using the built-in iOS Calendar (I'd really prefer not to have these alarm events appear on my Calendar), with reliable and easy-to-understand syncing, let me know.

Just use the inbuilt alarm, in the clock app. It does exactly what you want - just tap 'repeat' when setting up a new alarm.

Third-ing the built-in clock app. You can change the label to read "Go to gym," etc.

You might like the app due. It does everything you describe and has easy rescheduling.

Best answer: The built-in alarm clock is good, but Alarmed is better. Free app - I actually shelled out money for the "extras" package to throw some money in the tip jar.

I use and love Due, but I don't think it does this:
I want to be able to create one alarm that will go off multiple (scattered) days of the week (i.e. for the example above, I don't want to enter three separate alarms.)

What about the built in reminders app? I have one that pops up every Thursday to tell me to call my best friend. You can also set it to pop up by location awareness as well.

Yes, use Reminders. This is exactly what this app was designed to do.

Response by poster: Alarmed is working great.
I never even thought to look at Clock, but the problem with its alarms, unless I'm missing something, is that they keep making noise until you shut them off. I didn't specify this in the question, but I wanted something that would just make a noise once and stop without me having to poke at my device.
Thanks, everyone, for your suggestions!
