Favorite Portuguese restaurant in Newark?

Which is the best Portuguese or Spanish restaurant in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ?

I want to take my husband to a really great Portuguese restaurant for his birthday in August. A combination of great atmosphere and amazing food is what I'm after. Nice lighting, some romance. Willing to spend. I like Don Pepe's menu but the decor is sad and the chairs look uncomfortable. Adega Grill looks attractive from the site photos but there are just too many negative reviews on Yelp. Ambiance matters. Help?

Response by poster: Thanks, Renoroc! I saw that and have Yelped all of them. I was hoping for some insights from people who have been to some of the restaurants.
