What's hiding under this hill?

I've driven by this spot hundreds of times, but last night I finally wondered, "What the hell?" Any DC residents with an idea of what's hiding at the corner of NY Ave, 9th St, and Brentwood Pkwy.?

Best answer: Looks like landfill or reservoir to me.

Best answer: Yeah, it looks like a covered reservoir with a pumping house to me, too.

Yerp. The Federal Government had a security freakout a few years ago, and expunged as much information about the DC's water supply from the internet as it was able to.

I believe NPS also has a maintenance facility somewhere around there...
