I'm looking for websites that have cool, educational, entertaining and kid-safe stuff I can share with my two 4 year olds, perhaps similar to the kids should see this, and/or sites that suggest neat projects and how-to's my wife and I can work on with them to open their eyes to the wonders of the world around them. All suggestions welcome!

Questacon, Australia's National Science & Technology Centre, has some cool science experiments on their website. They're quite dedicated to getting kids addicted to science.

(Follow the links at the bottom of the page to Dr Karl Kruszelnicki when your sproglets are a bit older. He has written some great science books for kids.)

ZOOM was a pretty cool science experiment and projects-based show on PBS that was around when I was a kid. Not sure if it's still airing, but its definitely a kid-friendly site (albiet a little web 1.0) with lots of cool activities. They even have a preschool section. The show was hosted by tweens, and a lot of it was kid-submission-based. I'd say they have a range of activities there for about 3-11 year olds, with varying levels of parental supervision/assistance required.
