What are the major criticisms of Colin Woodard's book American Nations?

Just finished reading American Nations, and enjoyed it quite a bit! Interested to hear the major criticisms of Woodard's theories.

Interested in the opinions of prominent academics, as well as those belonging to the MeFite community, and of course any overlap between the two sets :)

You may find the book The Nine Nations of North America helpful, though it was written in 1981.
