What kids' craft can I do using a bunch of foil circles from San Pellegrino cans?

For some reason I started collecting these thick foil circles from the tops of San Pellegrino arranciata and limonata cans. Right now I have at least 50. I should just throw them away but I thought I could do something neat with them, like make a mixed media mermaid picture with my daughter (overlapping scales). They have logos on the top and are silver on the bottom.

Anyone have any ideas?

Search for "foil craft" on pinterest gives you: jewelery, flowers, fish, frames, embossing.

I immediately thought of racing boats down long lines of tinfoil outside, but that's not really a craft.

Foil carnations?

Stack the circles, maybe randomly right-side up and up-side down, thread a piece of heavy-ish gauge wire or chenille stem through the middle, and pull the edges of the circles up and ruffle them.

Best answer: Mobiles? Color on the shiny sides w/ colorful sharpie markers, then glue the printed sides together with a piece of yarn between them. Hang from a stick or hanger.

I just wanted to say, great question! I've been saving those foil tops too!

Response by poster: Thanks everyone! We have a garden so I will try that. Also I'll give the mobile a shot - we have plenty.
