Looking for part-time nail tech program in NYC

I'm looking for a part-time nail technician program in NYC to learn more about doing manicures and pedicures. I don't know yet if I want to give it all up and become a nail tech, so advice/good things to know/don't do it types of feedback is welcome as well.

So I LOVE doing my own nails and would like to learn more about possibly becoming a nail tech. I'd love to go through a certification program and get my state license, but all the programs I've seen are 6 to 8 weeks straight through. I don't have that much vacation time to do that, so I'd like something that is part time evenings and weekends, if possible. Are there any such nail tech programs in NYC? I really couldn't afford to take a leave of absence from work to indulge my fancy nail habit.

I'd also like to hear any advice or cautionary tales from nail techs. What should I know before going into this?

I found this place in Queens that has a nail tech program with day, weekend, and evening class schedules. They might be able to direct you to other programs if they don't have what you're looking for.
