Anyone know if Dr.Nick Riviera from the Simpsons ever made a reference to or tried to describe Kubler Ross' stages of grief? If so, what was the quote?

You're familiar with the episode where Lisa references them? Just wondering if that might be what you're thinking of?

Oh, and Dr. Hibbert does, too.

Don't know if Dr. Nick ever did this, but this is the Hibbert bit from One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Bluefish that peep mentioned:

Dr. Julius Hibbert: Now, a little death anxiety is normal. You can expect to go through five stages. The first is denial.
Homer Simpson: No way, because I'm not dying!
Dr. Julius Hibbert: Second is anger.
Homer Simpson: [furiously] Why you little... !
Dr. Julius Hibbert: After that comes fear.
Homer Simpson: [worried] What's after fear? What's after fear?
Dr. Julius Hibbert: Bargaining.
Homer Simpson: Doc, you gotta get me outta this. I'll make it worth your while.
Dr. Julius Hibbert: Finally acceptance.
Homer Simpson: Well, we all gotta go sometime.
Dr. Julius Hibbert: Mr. Simpson, your progress astounds me.

I don't know about Dr. Nick, but here is Dr. Hibbert's reference (per TV Tropes)

In The Simpsons episode where Homer eats bad fugu fish and is told he will likely die, he's told of the model by Dr. Hibbert and goes through all five stages in about 10 seconds.
Hibbert: You can expect to go through five stages. The first is denial.
Homer: No way, because I'm not dying!
Hibbert: Second is anger.
Homer: Why you little... Da-! Guuuuuh! Yaaaaah!
Hibbert: After that, comes fear.
Homer: (paranoid) What's after fear? What's after fear?
Hibbert: Bargaining.
Homer: Doc, you've got to get me out of this. I'll make it worth your while.
Hibbert: And finally, acceptance.
Homer: Well, we've all got to go sometime.
Hibbert: Mr. Simpson, your progress astounds me.

Response by poster: Dojie and Creepygirl: Thanks for the Dr.Hibbert bit! peep - I'm going to check the Lisa episode. I just heard there was some sort of funny reference in Simpsons (not too familiar with the show) and I wanted to find out what it was.

It's from the episode One Fish, Two Fish, Blowfish, Blue Fish. Homer eats some poisonous blowfish at a sushi restaurant and Dr. Hibbert tells him he has only one day to live.

In the season 16 episode Mobile Homer , a sign outside Merry Widow Insurance Co. lists the stages of grief as "Denial, Anger, Acceptance, CASH!!"
