Help me defend Dombey & Son against Copperfield.

Looking for a recent article that compared certain books of a few authors with their "more famous siblings"--that is, books by that author that are less well known or less often read. Dickens was one of them; Austen might have been included too. The article might have appeared in Slate, Salon, The Awl or The Hairpin (or somewhere else) but I can't find it!

Best answer: This maybe: Books That Beat Their Iconic Sister Books. That one is Jane Eyre vs Villette, but there are a bunch more. (And they're totally wrong, Jane Eyre is way better.)
