Gynecare Thermachoice Experiences

Have you had Gynecare Thermachoice? My doctor has recommended it to treat some ongoing menstrual issues I have. If you have had it, can you tell me if it was useful, horrible, etc., particularly related to cramps and PMS?

I tried endometrial ablation (tho not this specific method) some years back for pain and bleeding caused by uterine fibroids. It bought me about a year of relief. Then I started to have some problems because scar tissue from the ablation blocked my cervix. I'm not sure whether this is a common problem. BTW, a good place to look for answers might be hystersisters.com. They have a board called "Alternatives to Hysterectomy" and if you look around there you'll probably get a lot more info than you will here.

I had an ablation for excess bleeding. It was only mildly effective for that. If PMS is the primary issue, I think hormonal treatment would address it more effectively.
