How do you use your Nord Lead 2X?

Hey Nord Lead 2X users-- how much can you do in software?

I'm looking at the rack mount version, but I'm wondering if you can edit and build patches entirely with software, or if you generally have to use the rack's interface. If there is software, is it any good? Mac/Logic Pro/Max5 user here.

The NL2X is just the NL2 with more memory and more polyphony - you may be thinking of the NL3, which has a completely different architecture. I have one and love it, but I agree that the point of a Nord Lead is to play it live, and it's not the best for studio tweakability.
